Spinal Adjustments Spinal Adjustments with the Activator Methods
At Thatcher Chiropractic we do not perform “manual manipulation”, but instead use a state-of-the-art procedure called Activator Methods. Activator Methods uses a hand-held instrument to perform the adjustment. The thrust of the instrument is gentle but at a very high velocity and it is that speed that produces the force to make the adjustment. The goal of this procedure is to improve spinal alignment and restore proper joint motion.
For some patients two or three spinal adjustments will solve their issue, for others it will take many more depending on a person’s age, physical condition and past traumas. Our goal is always to get you better as quickly as possible.
How Does Spinal Manipulation Work?
Spinal manipulation, also called spinal manipulative therapy or manual therapy, combines moving and jolting joints, massage, exercise, and physical therapy. It's designed to relieve pressure on joints, reduce inflammation, and improve nerve function.
Overall, spinal adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level without any discomfort. When the body is adequately aligned, it becomes able to respond and perform as it was built to do.
